SONIC SPANK was formed in early 2009
by Benjamin Karp & Ian McGuire. In 2010 they added drummer
Scotty Zwang. The trio seamlessly blends House, Hip Hop, Drum &
Bass, Jazz, Funk and Dubstep beats while incorporating live keyboard
and guitar improvisation on top. Ben & Ian have been friends
since Preschool and have collaborated on music since the beginning
of High School which explains their undeniable chemistry on stage
and innocent perversion. SONIC SPANK penetrates the line between the
craft of DJing and virtuoso instrumental musicianship.

Mark your calendars, Music Ecology has
been showcasing original electronic dance music at Wonder Bar for
two years as of this July! When we started it was just a small group
of people downstairs at Wonder Bar, and our crowd has steadily
grown, bringing us numerous sellout shows already this year at
Wonder Bar Upstairs, and our first 18+ show at Middle East, which
also sold out.
Some of the acts that Music Ecology has
brought over the past year include: Little People, R/D, Vibesquad,
Heyoka, Mount Kimbie, Polish Ambassador, Octopus Nebula, Chronicles
of the Landsquid, Kilowatts, the Great Mundane, Mr Rogers, Split
Phase, Moldover, Spit Brothers, Moldy, D.V.S.*, and damn near every
local original EDM act in Boston!
