Music Ecology celebrates Professorpious's Birthday with Bakir and Reset From Start

Our dear friend Bakir is making a special Boston appearance to celebrate the birthday of Music Ecology's own Professorpious. Some of you know Bakir as the headliner from the very first Music Ecology night at Wonder Bar, others have seen him perform with Sirios and Dubsworth as a live electronic act The Spit Brothers, and some may remember his trumpet antics from the Jazzsteppa show at Music Ecology. All in all he is one of our oldest friends and favorite headliners!

Reset From Start
Reset From Start represents Boston's forward thinking, forward moving, future sounds of Drum and Bass.

Professorpious has been hooked on electronic music since the late nineties where he was drawn to the frenetic sounds of DnB as a young man. He bought some turntables found a warehouse and threw his first parties in late 2000. A brief trip to London in 2001 and a visit to Fabric nightclub provided the catalyst to switch styles from DnB to Breaks. Then in 2006 Pious attended Burning Man where heard Dubstep and Glitch Hop for the first time and instantly knew this was the sound of the future. Today you can hear anyone or all of these styles in a Pious set.
Currently Pious holds down residency at Lost In Bass every Monday on glitch.fm as well as at the Tuesday weekly Music Ecology.
