Oh boy! This one is going to be special! Bakir & Sirios are
coming back to town and doing a rare show with Boston's own reggae
super star Mighty Mystic!!! This show is going to be for the
books! Support by DJ Digi. Do NOT sleep through this one!
Bakir
and Sirios (of the Spit Brothers) have been lighting up dance
floors coast to coast with their set of electrifying live bass
music since 2008. Combining heavy doses of sub bass with a blend
of electronic and acoustic drums, their selection ranges from deep
reggae dubstep to intense dance floor smashers. Both musicians
have played extensively around the country; Brent drumming for
Mighty Mystic, has shared bills with the likes of Barrington Levy,
Steel Pulse, Movado, and the Wailers. Bakir and the Spit Brothers
have been on lineups alongside Caspa and Rusko, Tinie Tempah,
Eskmo, Daedalus, Kromestar, Jazzsteppa, and many others.
Bakir
has played trumpet on tour with the live London/Berlin dubstep
band Jazzsteppa both in the United States and Europe. Living
previously in San Francisco, Bakir and The Spit Brothers were
named one of SF Weekly's 2010 dubstep ambassadors.
They
are currently based in Brooklyn, NY, where Bakir runs the Dubs
Alive label and TUBA, his vinyl imprint. Check out
