Music Ecology is proud to present another night of all original EDM, this week from:
Jules Jenssen, drummer for HiGHER ORGANiX, ventures into the realm of EDM production, and finds out he is a vampire who can only make music between the hours of 2 am - 7 am. Get Ready to get down!!!
Mongo is a group of five individuals who share a passion for creating live music. Our approach to electronic dance music is influenced by a wide variety of sub genres that range from deep downtempo grooves to hard hitting techno beats. Incorporating a mixture of both acoustic and electronic instruments, Mongo is a fun and energetic live performance. Improvisation plays a big role in our live shows, allowing for a unique experience each time for both the mind and the ears.
Figgy is a producer/DJ based out NewEngland. He produces and plays many styles of electronic music with no prejudice toward tempos. Grab his latest mix here:
Appalachia Rising Benefit
This week, we’re shining a light on “Ecology”, with a very special vibes-raising benefit for Appalachia Rising. Did you know that 500 named mountains have been blown up for coal, and that here in Mass, 50% of our energy still comes from that dirty stuff?!
On September 27th, thousands of people from across the country will converge in DC to demand clean economies for the coalfields and an immediate end to the destructive practice of mountaintop removal coal mining. We will be collecting donations and selling some incredible artwork from the Beehive Design Collective to support this national mobilization. For more info, visit appalachiarising.org and check out some artwork at beehivedesigncollective.org . For the Mountains, Miners and Families, we are all connected!
